What should I expect in worship?
Every church is just a little bit different. It's hard to know what exactly to expect.
Check out these frequently asked questions to learn a little bit more about us before you stop by.
Will I be welcome at the churches of the United in Faith Parish?
YES! No matter your faith background or if you've never been a church-attender. No matter if you've been a person of faith your entire life or are just checking things out. There's a place for you here at the United in Faith Parish.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! You'll see people in shirts and ties; you'll see folks in t-shirts and jeans. Pastor Clay usually wears a robe, but sometimes you'll see him in much more casual attire.
Are your messages biblical?
Yes, they are. More often than not, Pastor Clay is preaching part of a message series based on an idea or theme in scripture. But every week you'll engage part of the Hebrew Bible or the New Testament and be invited to read more as you go through your week.
What kind of music do you have?
You'll hear mostly traditional hymns and praise songs on Sunday mornings. Our Wednesday evening worship service is led entirely by our praise band and features contemporary Christian songs that you'd hear on Christian radio.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! Every week in worship, we have a time that is just for kids. We also have bags full of activities to keep your little ones occupied during worship.
Do you have Sunday School?
Sort of. With the schedule of being a cooperative parish, we don't have time for a traditional Sunday school, but we do have mid-week opportunities for all ages. We have small group bible studies for adults throughout the week and youth ministries, too. Worship Wednesday meets from 3-5 p.m. and is for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. Youth Group also meets on Wednesdays evenings starting with supper at 6:30 p.m. for youth in middle school & high school (Grades 6th-12th). You can find out more here.
How can I get involved?
Show up at either of the churches in the United in Faith Parish, and you'll find a place to get involved in a hurry. Whether it's reading scripture in worship, helping with our Missions of the Month, or helping behind the scenes, you'll find a place that matches what you're passionate about.
I still have questions. Can I talk to someone?
You bet. Head to our Visit page and you can send an email to Pastor Clay to ask any question you have.
