Weather & Cancellation Policy

The churches of the United in Faith Parish invite families to use their best judgment on attending church activities in the event of inclement weather, dangerous roads, or other emergency situations.  We want the safety of our members and friends to come first.   
Sunday Morning: We try our hardest not to cancel worship, but at some point it becomes dangerous to be outside. Our pastor will consult with trustees from both churches before a decision regarding worship is made.  If worship is cancelled, it will be communicated as quickly as possible to the church e-mail list and the communication channels listed below. 
Mid-Week Activities: For mid-week activities, including committee meetings, youth ministry, Bible studies, choir rehearsal, the Parish will follow the actions of the Burke School District.  If the school releases early, all activities at the United in Faith Parish are cancelled and communication about those cancellations will be made as soon as possible.  If weather conditions deteriorate after school hours, the pastors and trustees of the church affected will make the decision and communicate with the parish as soon as possible.
